This volume presents sixteen articles that investigate the new forms of Kabbalah and Hasidism, their cultural contexts and their contacts with other forms of Contemporary Spiritual Revival. The papers were written by prominent scholars from a variety of disciplines, including history of Kabbalah, Sociology, Anthropology, and Religious Studies.

Boaz Huss is associate professor of Jewish Thought at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev. He is the author of Sockets of Fine Gold: The Kabbalah of R. Shim'on Ibn Lavi [in Hebrew], Like the Radiance of the Sky: Chapters in the Reception History of the Zohar and the Construction of its Symbolic Value [in Hebrew], and numerous articles on premodern and contemporary Kabbalah.
