Theatre in Co-Communities: Articulating Power
Theatre in co-communities (applied theatre) has generally been developed as a practice that functions as a significant interface between theatre and society, providing communities with a sense of empowerment and articulation. This book focuses on the ways in which various traditionally marginalized groups, or co-communities, appropriate theatre for their own specific needs, which are often at odds with those of the powerful sponsoring organizations.

This book presents the author's own work as a theatre facilitator and researcher in order to illuminate the ways in which applied theatre intersects with issues such as power relations, articulation, gender, class, ethnicity, nationality, representation and identity.
