Global Financial Accounting and Reporting: Principles and Analysis (3rd Ed.)
Now in its third edition, Global Financial Accounting and Reporting: Principles and Analysis continues to be an invaluable textbook resource for undergraduate, MBA and postgraduate students of introductory financial accounting. Using extracts from International Financial Reporting Standards, this book takes a global approach, giving students direct exposure to contemporary reports and the financial statements of well-known companies including, amongst others, Ericsson, Lufthansa, and Peugeot Citroen.

The text takes a logical approach, guiding students through the basics of how accounting data is structured to provide annual financial statements, on to reviewing the accounting content of the annual report of a global company. The authors also explore contemporary issues in international reporting such as: fair value, pensions and segment reporting.

Walter Aerts is Professor of Financial Reporting at the University of Antwerp, the Antwerp Management School and Tilburg University. He has taught IFRS for several years after a career as a financial controller in the utility sector. He has taught in several European and East Asian countries.
